Job summary

Centene is seeking an armed security professional in Clayton, MO for an onsite role with hours from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM CST, Monday through Friday. The position requires firearm licensure and two+ years in security/public safety, with sponsorship not offered. Responsibilities include monitoring entrances, utilizing visitor systems, and coordinating with emergency services.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of security, public safety or related experience preferred.
• Prior law enforcement/military or first responder experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide polished customer service to employees, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a safe environment.
• Utilize visitor management software to document access and host contact for visitors.
• Operate security systems for access control, visitor management, emergencies, and CCTV.
• Provide directions for facility navigation and relay vital information during emergencies.
• Engage in entrance monitoring and lobby control during events or incidents.
• Maintain firearm safety and 80% proficiency in firearm qualifications; carry and maintain required licenses and training.
• Perform other duties as assigned and comply with policies.

Job description

Position Purpose

Performs various duties specifically connected with protecting the employees, tenants, visitors, guests and property of the Corporation against threat or harm.

Key Details

This is an onsite position based in Clayton, MO. Hours are Monday-Friday 6:30AM-2:30PM CST. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future. Sponsorship and future sponsorship are not available for this opportunity, including employment-based visa types H-1B, L-1, O-1, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT, or CPT.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide polished customer service experience to all employees, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
• Utilize visitor management software to document proper access, egress, and ensure host contact for visitors and guests.
• Operate applicable physical security systems for access control, visitor management, emergency response notification and closed-circuit television.
• Provide precise, informative, directions for facility navigation.
• Obtain and relay vital information during emergency response situations. Escorts and supports emergency medical services.
• Active engagement in facility entrance monitoring and lobby control during events, incidents, or emergencies.
• Understands and adheres to proper firearm safety, maintenance, and best tactical practice while maintaining an 80% proficiency on firearm qualifications.
• Carry a firearm and maintain all required certifications, permits, qualifications, and training necessary to safely and effectively perform armed security responsibilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Education / Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of security, public safety or related experience required. Prior law enforcement/military or first responder experience preferred.

Licenses / Certifications

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an armed security license as required by the applicable jurisdiction. Eligibility includes successful meeting all licensing requirements, which may include background investigation, firearms qualifications, training, drug screening, and ongoing certification requirements. Upon Hire required.

Pay Range

$15.87 - $27.25 per hour
