Job summary

Securitas US Business Unit in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a part-time Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, controlling access, and patrolling multiple sites.

The role includes de-escalation, reporting hazards, responding to emergencies, and delivering courteous service to employees and guests. Shifts run 7 AM to 7 PM with a wage range of $18.00–$19.47 per hour. This position offers opportunities for growth and dependable weekly scheduling.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and stay calm in stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilance during shift.
• Professional demeanor and prompt emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out other tasks of similar nature as required for the site.

12 Hour Shifts:7AM - 7PM

TheSecurity Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order whileenforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
