Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Security professional to safeguard hotel property, guests, visitors and employees. The role involves patrolling property, responding to safety concerns, and initiating investigations when crimes occur.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential for success. Minimum 3+ years in security or loss prevention is required; a four-year degree in hospitality or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.

• Assist sick and injured guests and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports.
• Maintain accurate records including camera monitoring and shift activity logs.
• Assist supervisor in checking alarm systems and monitoring safety and fire equipment.

Job Description Summary

Responsible for the safeguarding of hotel property, assets, guests, visitors and employees

Job Description

• Patrol hotel property to ensure the safety of guests and employees and to protect all hotel assets.
• Answer house calls assist guests and employees with respect to safety, security and hotel operations.

• Initiate and follow-up all investigations of crimes committed against property and persons. Initiate investigations, write incident and accident reports, monitor investigations to their timely conclusion and ensure appropriate follow-up with guests, visitors and employees, documenting all contacts.

• Assist sick and injured guests and employees, ensuring documentation and disposition of reports.
• Maintain accurate records while performing basic office duties including, but not limited to, camera monitoring, shift activity log, codebook, and employee and guest binder interaction.
• Assist supervisor in checking alarm systems, safety and fire equipment systems and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas and delivery areas.

• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

• 3+ years Security/Loss & Prevention experience required
• Four-year degree in hospitality or other business-related field preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay Range

$24.00 to $26.00 Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors including but not limited to job related knowledge, skills and job specific experience/overall experience.
