Job summary

Southcentral KY Community & Technical College is seeking a Security Officer for the Security Department to ensure the safety of students, staff, and visitors on Main Campus and Franklin-Simpson Campus. This on-site, non-exempt role requires availability Friday evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include patrols, safety inspections, incident reporting, security escorts, traffic control for VIP events, camera monitoring, medical response, and parking enforcement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and five years' experience in one or more security-related fields (security, police, fire fighting, EMS, safety, military).
• Non-exempt, on-site position with hours to be determined.

• Traffic control for VIP events and parking enforcement.

• Area crime monitoring through social media.
