Kentucky State University is looking for a Security Officer to provide security for personnel and property. The role entails patrolling university grounds, responding to calls, and documenting crimes as necessary. Candidates should possess effective communication abilities, a High School Diploma or GED, and ideally a two-year degree.
This full-time position requires the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and an understanding of relevant laws and university policies. A valid Kentucky operator’s license is also required.

Provides security for personnel, real property, and equipment. Investigates and documents crimes/incidents, documents and preserves evidence, may have to testify in court as part of job.
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Possession of a valid Kentucky operator’s license.
