Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment across multiple Salt Lake County locations. The role involves access control, patrolling, and enforcing site directives, with a focus on protecting people and assets.

You will engage with clients and guests, resolve conflicts, and report hazards while utilizing security technology and following post orders. A proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong service skills is required.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Security Officer - Full Time

Primary Location: Salt Lake City, UT

Multiple positions available in a variety of locations around Salt Lake County and the surrounding areas.

Wage Range: $17.00-$19.50/HR

The Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
