Job summary

Securitas USA in Bayard, NM is seeking a Security Officer - Full Time to monitor premises, enforce post orders, and provide customer service to employees and guests.

You must have a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of security experience, and be able to work independently. The wage is $20.50 per hour, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K options, life and disability insurance, paid time off, uniforms, and more.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Security experience.
• Active Level 2 and Level 1 Guard Card license preferred.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions or suspicious activity.
• Ensure post orders are followed and rounds completed.
• Provide customer service and information to employees and guests.
• Utilize technology devices during shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out tasks of similar nature as site requirements.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client's employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 2 years of Security experience.
• Active Level 2 and active Level 1 Guard Card license preferred.
