Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and data infrastructure location by following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, entry points, parking areas, and other areas to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and alarm/surveillance systems; document observations and report concerns per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response.
• Prepare clear reports, maintain logs, and communicate with site contacts, public agencies, and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology and data infrastructure location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, entry points, parking areas, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual activity and help to discourage unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and applicable alarm or surveillance systems; document observations and report security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and support emergency response protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate professionally with site contacts, public agencies, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
