Job summary

AnMed in Anderson, South Carolina, is seeking a Security Officer to join the Security Department. This full-time role involves patrols and post duties, reporting to the Team Leader.

The position supports staff, patients, and visitors while upholding high standards of conduct. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, SC background check, valid driver’s license, and completion of required security training within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED is required.
• Must have and maintain a valid state-issued Driver's License.
• Must complete a comprehensive South Carolina Law Enforcement background check as required for SLED certification.
• Must complete the minimum training for Security Officers as required by the state during the first 30 days of employment.
• Excellent communication, reading, writing, critical thinking and basic comprehension skills required.
• Must be able to complete all reports and supplemental documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reports must be clearly written and free of grammatical errors.

• Document activities at and around your assigned post with clear and concise written notes
• Gather and organize facts and other essential information
• Fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies in the investigation and prosecution of criminal activity occurring on your property.

• Serve your company, your clients, law enforcement, and the public using the highest standards of personal and professional conduct.
• Must carry out the orders and instructions given to them by the Team Leader.
• Keep the Team Leader informed if activities and unusual or significant events.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with peers and other AnMed Personnel.
• Responsible for insuring the safety and security of medical center employees, patients, visitors and property.

SUMMARY

A Security Officer is a full time officer in the Security Department that is daily assigned a post and duties by the Team Leader. Security Officers are assigned the task of insuring the safety and security of the property, including staff/employees, service delivery site employees, patients, visitors, venders, etc. Security Officers report to the Team Leader.
