Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Security Manager in Daytona Beach, FL to oversee daily security operations for residents, staff, and guests. You will develop and implement safety and emergency plans, monitor access control, and manage the security budget.

Strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills are essential. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid Security D license, and CLSS/AHLA certification with prior security management experience in luxury properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Completion of CLSS (Certified Lodging Security Supervisor) program within 90 days is required or preferred.
• Valid Security D License is required.
• College level courses in business or hospitality are a plus.
• Two years’ experience in managing Security department staff is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Security staff and short-term planning.
• Recommend and implement procedural changes.
• Manage budget and expenses within approved limits.
• Develop and implement safety, security and emergency plans for the condominium association.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards.
• Monitor and operate electronic security and emergency response systems.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and control access to the property.
• Train staff on safety, security and procedures; cover shifts as needed.
• Coordinate with Property Manager and Area Specialist for staffing coverage.
