Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in security or safety management, preferably in luxury hospitality, nightlife, or event environments.
• Prior supervisory or managerial experience in a unionized setting preferred.
• NYS Security Guard License required; Fire Safety Director Certification strongly preferred.
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems, hotel property layouts, and threat assessment protocols.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily security operations, including shift scheduling, patrols, access control, and incident reporting.
• Lead training and oversight for security personnel, including emergency response and de-escalation protocols.
• Liaise with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency services as needed.
• Develop and implement safety policies, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols.
• Maintain and monitor security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) and report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate coverage for VIP guests, high-profile events, and public access areas.
• Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, producing detailed reports.
• Work with Rooms, Events, and Engineering to ensure integrated property safety.
• Maintain compliance with city, state, and OSHA security regulations.

Job Description

This position has an annual compensation of $85,000 per year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage daily security operations including shift scheduling, patrols, access control, and incident reporting
• Lead training and oversight for all security personnel, including emergency response, customer service, and de-escalation protocols
• Liaise with local law enforcement, fire department, and emergency services as needed
• Develop and implement safety policies, evacuation procedures, and crisis management protocols
• Maintain and monitor security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms) and report maintenance needs
• Coordinate coverage for VIP guests, high-profile events, and public access areas
• Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, producing detailed reports
• Work collaboratively with departments including Rooms, Events, and Engineering to ensure integrated property safety
• Maintain compliance with all relevant city, state, and OSHA security regulations
