Job summary

Union County, North Carolina, is seeking a Security Management Coordinator to lead a holistic physical security program across the enterprise. The role involves managing CCTV, access control, and related systems, while coordinating with IT, Emergency Services, and Law Enforcement to mitigate risk and protect assets.

The position requires an Associate’s degree in security or related field with 4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Security, Criminal Justice or a related field, and 4 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to maintain a safe driving history as defined by the Union County Vehicle Use Policy.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe.
• Experience with VEOCI software.
• Experience with Genetec software.
• Experience with WinPak software.
• Knowledge of Physical Security Policies, Laws, Ordinances, and Professional Standards.
• Knowledge of technical manuals for management of computer servers and systems as well as camera and access control equipment and software.
• Knowledge and understanding of Blueprints, Construction documents and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight for access control and security cameras within county buildings.
• Maintains door access programs and ensures interior and exterior access for staff and visitors.
• Manages security and access control work orders, data reporting, and project coordination.
• Provides installation and service support for security systems and technology, including access control and video management systems.
• Coordinates and advises on door hardware updates and communicates with stakeholders.
