Job summary

Fairmount Homes in Ephrata, PA, seeks a dependable Security | Maintenance Team Member for night shift (10:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 4 nights on, 4 nights off. You will help provide a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, visitors, and campus community.

Responsibilities include security rounds, monitoring systems, emergency response, and light maintenance tasks while supporting the mission of Fairmount Homes.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Able to stay calm and respond effectively during emergencies.
• Clear and respectful communication with residents and staff.
• Willing to perform light maintenance tasks while on shift.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior security rounds of campus buildings and grounds.
• Monitor entrances, parking areas, doors, windows, and security systems.
• Respond to security concerns, emergencies, and alarm notifications.
• Assist with fire drills, alarms, and other emergency situations.
• Escort team members, visitors, emergency personnel, and service providers as needed.
• Communicate with supervisors about security, safety, or emergency issues.
• Monitor weather updates and communicate important information.
• Assist with after-hours maintenance calls and light tasks.
• Help with ice and snow removal during winter weather.
• Maintain daily logs and required documentation.
• Uphold HIPAA and Corporate Compliance standards.

What You'll Do

As a Security Team Member, you will help ensure the safety and security of residents, team members, visitors, buildings, and grounds throughout the night.

Responsibilities include:

• Conducting routine interior and exterior security rounds of campus buildings and grounds
• Monitoring entrances, parking lots, doors, windows, and security systems
• Responding to security concerns, suspicious activity, emergencies, and alarm notifications
• Assisting with fire drills, fire alarms, and other emergency situations
• Escorting team members, visitors, emergency personnel, and service providers as needed
• Communicating with supervisors regarding security, safety, or emergency-related concerns
• Monitoring weather conditions and communicating important updates
• Responding to after-hours maintenance calls and performing light maintenance tasks
• Assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation needs during weekend coverage
• Helping with ice and snow removal during winter weather events
• Assisting with resident transfers and other facility support needs when appropriate
• Completing daily logs, reports, and required documentation
• Maintaining confidentiality and complying with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance requirements

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and respond quickly to emergency situations.
