Job summary

Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Alabama is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Security (unarmed) to join our team. This full‑time role patrols and inspects facilities, responds to work orders, and maintains a visible presence to deter misconduct.

Shift is 4:30pm–3:00am, Wed–Sat with weekdays, weekends and holidays as scheduled. Pre‑employment physical and background check are required before offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or security with a dependable work history.
• Ability to patrol and inspect facilities and respond to incidents.
• Capable of performing general maintenance tasks during shift.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and inspect facility buildings and grounds on foot or by vehicle.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and perform general repairs.
• Observe alarms and video to deter crime and report incidents to supervisors.

CCHRC is seeking an experienced and dependable individual to work as Maintenance/Security (unarmed).

Pre-employment physical and background check will be completed before job offer.

• Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Work hours: 4:30pm - 3::00am Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday

The Maintenance /Security Guard responsibilities are to patrol and inspect facility buildings and grounds on foot or by vehicle. Will answer Maintenance work orders during shift and will require that all types of general maintenance work be performed to keep facility property maintained in neat and orderly repair. Candidates will also act to protect the property, staff, residents, and visitors by maintaining a highly visible presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions, observing either directly, through patrols, or by watching alarm systems and video cameras for signs of crime, fire or disorder; then taking action and reporting any incidents to the Maintenance Director, Administrator or Emergency Services, as appropriate.
