Job summary

Cherokee County Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced Maintenance/Security Guard (unarmed) to patrol and inspect facilities and respond to work orders during the shift. The role requires being present on site, maintaining a highly visible presence to deter crime, monitor alarm systems and cameras, and report incidents to the Maintenance Director or Administrator.

Qualifications

• Experience in security or facilities maintenance preferred.
• Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Pre-employment physical and background check required.

Job description

CCHRC is seeking an experienced and dependable individual to work as Maintenance/Security (unarmed).
Pre-employment physical and background check will be completed before job offer.

Availability & Hours

• Must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• Work hours: 4:30pm - 3::00am Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday

The Maintenance /Security Guard responsibilities are to patrol and inspect facility buildings and grounds on foot or by vehicle. Will answer Maintenance work orders during shift and will require that all types of general maintenance work be performed to keep facility property maintained in neat and orderly repair. Candidates will also act to protect the property, staff, residents, and visitors by maintaining a highly visible presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions, observing either directly, through patrols, or by watching alarm systems and video cameras for signs of crime, fire or disorder; then taking action and reporting any incidents to the Maintenance Director, Administrator or Emergency Services, as appropriate.
