Job summary

Westrock Coffee is seeking a Security Guard to protect assets, personnel, customers, and visitors on our grounds. Reports to the Safety Business Partner and participates in incident response and patrol duties.

Responsibilities include access control, surveillance monitoring, and timely reporting of incidents. The role requires a valid AR Concealed Handgun Carry License, armed security certification, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Law enforcement, security, or military experience preferred
• Ability to work calmly under duress
• Clear criminal record
• Pass a drug test
• Maintain AR Concealed Handgun Carry License

Responsibilities

• Be visible and observant, greeting staff, guests, and vendors courteously
• Respond to distress calls, alarms and emergencies swiftly and appropriately
• Patrol property on foot, secure perimeter and buildings in all weather
• Control and monitor surveillance equipment and perform inspections
• Guard access points, permit or refuse entry and manage crowd during shift times
• Complete daily reports with observations and signatures

Job description

The Security Guard will be responsible for the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, customers, tenants, visitors, and other people and property on our grounds. This position reports to the Safety Business Partner.

Job Duties:

• Ensure a safe environment through a team effort of diligent active patrol, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control
• Be always visible and observant, greeting staff, guests, and vendors in a courteous and attentive manner
• Respond immediately to distress calls, panic alarms, and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons, and incidents swiftly and appropriately
• Patrol property on foot, securing personnel, assets, buildings, gates, and fence perimeter are secure in all weather conditions
• Control and monitor surveillance equipment, and perform building and equipment inspections
• Guard access points, permitting or refusing entry, restraining trespassers, and direct heavy traffic during shift start times and end of shift times
• Complete daily reports, including relevant information, observations, surveillance footage and signatures

Qualifications:

• Registered security officer
• Must successfully pass & qualify armed security certification
• Law enforcement, security, or military experience strongly preferred
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently, particularly when under duress
• Certification in first aid, CPR/BLS, and self-defense
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Ability to work overnight, on weekends, and on holidays
• Clear criminal record
• Ability to pass a drug testMaintain a AR Concealed Handgun Carry License
