Job summary

Amazon seeks a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist (SLP Specialist) to lead protective efforts for people, product and data within a designated building across multiple operations. The role reports to the Security and Loss Prevention Cluster Manager and collaborates with legal, HR and local security providers.

The position requires at least 2 years in security or related fields, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or 1+ year in security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, or operations, or Loss Prevention Qualified Career Choice Graduate.
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional capacity.
• Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and Business Continuity planning experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents.
• Contribute to the identification of vulnerabilities and define mitigating actions while ensuring legal and ethical standards.
• Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management SME for site leadership.
• Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostics with internal/external partners.
• Domestic regional travel up to 25% of the time when applicable.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and work in variable environments and shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• This role covers 24/7 operations and requires flexible scheduling across shifts.
