Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a full-time Loss Prevention Officer to help protect customers and merchandise. You will patrol floors, identify shoplifting, and work with CCTV to deter theft while delivering clear reports.

The role requires the ability to stand/walk for several hours, reliable transport, and English communication. Pre-employment background check and drug screening are required; prior loss prevention or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means.
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports.
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation.
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated.
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement.
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus- High School diploma or equivalent (minimum)
