Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a dedicated Security / Loss Prevention Officer in Peru, IL. The role involves identifying and apprehending shoplifters via floor patrol and CCTV, as well as documenting reports and interacting with law enforcement.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to read, write and speak English, pass background checks and drug screening, and be able to stand/walk for up to 3–4 hours. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening.
• Must be able to obtain state required PERC prior to employment.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Must be able to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports.

Responsibilities

• Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras.
• Report Writing.
• Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed.
• Provide Courtroom Testimony as required
