Per Mar Security Services in Moline, IL seeks a Full-Time Loss Prevention Officer to deter theft and protect assets at our client sites. This role emphasizes vigilance, observation, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and staff.

You will work as part of a team, perform floor patrols, document incidents, and collaborate with local law enforcement when needed. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are required; prior security experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• Criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to obtain state required PERC prior to employment.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3–4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Prior Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.

Job Description

• Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras
• Report Writing
• Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed
• Provide Courtroom Testimony as required

Job Requirement

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
• Must be able to obtain state required PERC prior to employment

• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum)
