Immediate Opening for a Fulltime Loss Prevention Officer at Retail Store Pekin, IL.

Location: Retail Store Pekin, IL.

Hours: Full-time / 40 hours per week.

Compensation: $21.00 per hour. Benefits include Health Insurance, 401k, PTO.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and CCTV.
• Report writing.
• Interacting with local law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Provide courtroom testimony as required.

Requirements

• Pre‑Employment criminal background and drug screen.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3‑4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means.
• Ability to write legible, accurate, and easily understood reports.
• Assertive yet controlled in dealing with confrontation.
• Trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated.
• Previous loss prevention experience a plus, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus.

Additional Qualifications

Must obtain state required PERC prior to employment. Paid training will be provided.
