Immediate Opening for a Full‑Time Loss Prevention Officer in Ottumwa, IA.

Job Description

• Identify shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV.
• Report writing.
• Interact with local law enforcement agencies as needed.
• Provide courtroom testimony as required.

Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Fulltime 40 hours per week.

$19.00 per hour / Health Insurance / 401k / Paid Time Off.

Job Requirement

• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means.
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports.
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation.
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Attendance for scheduled shifts; tardiness and absenteeism are not tolerated.
• Previous loss prevention experience a plus, but not a requirement.
• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus.
