Job summary

Per Mar Security Services is seeking a full-time Loss Prevention Officer to protect merchandise and deter theft. You will patrol the premises, monitor surveillance, write clear incident reports, and coordinate with local law enforcement when needed.

The role requires the ability to read and write English, reliable transportation, and the capacity to work independently while maintaining security protocols. Prior loss prevention or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus.
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and apprehend shoplifters via floor patrol and CCTV.
• Report writing and documentation of incidents.
• Interacting with local law enforcement as needed.
• Provide courtroom testimony as required.

Job Description

• Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras
• Report Writing
• Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed
• Provide Courtroom Testimony as required

Job Requirement

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum)
