Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Missouri is seeking a full-time Loss Prevention Officer to identify and apprehend shoplifters through floor patrol and CCTV surveillance, while delivering reliable protection for our clients.

You will prepare reports, interact with local law enforcement, and provide courtroom testimony when required. A high school diploma is required, along with a background check and drug screening; prior LP or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to get license through Columbia PD.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3–4 hours at a time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports.
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation.
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision.
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated.
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement.
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum).
