Job summary

Per Mar Security Services in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a full-time Loss Prevention Officer to identify shoplifters and enforce store policies. This role requires vigilance, accurate reporting, and the ability to interact with local law enforcement.

You will patrol floors and monitor CCTV, write detailed reports, and be prepared to testify in court when needed. The position includes multiple shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.

• Loss Prevention or law enforcement experience is a plus.

Job Skills / Requirements

Immediate Opening for a Full-Time Loss Prevention Officer

• Identify and Apprehend Shoplifters through floor patrol and the use of Closed Circuit TV Cameras
• Report Writing
• Interacting with local Law Enforcement as needed
• Provide Courtroom Testimony as required

Job Requirement:

• Pre-Employment Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
• Must be able to get license through Columbia PD
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for up to 3-4 hours at a time
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
• Ability to communicate clearly and accurately through verbal and written means
• Ability to write legible, accurate and easily understood reports
• Must be assertive, yet controlled in dealing with confrontation
• Must be trustworthy and able to work under little or no direct supervision
• Attendance for scheduled shifts. Tardiness and absenteeism is not tolerated
• Previous Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement experience is a plus but not a requirement
• Criminal Justice or related studies a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent (minimum)
