Job summary

Amazon in Garner, NC seeks a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist to join Worldwide Operations Security. The role leads investigations, identifies vulnerabilities, and coordinates with cross‑functional teams to protect people, product and data across operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or 1+ year in security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, law enforcement, or operations, or Loss Prevention Qualified Career Choice Graduate
• 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, in a professional capacity
• Workplace incident mitigation or de-escalation and Business Continuity planning experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations and prepare prompt written reports of theft, fraud, and critical incidents
• Contribute to identification of vulnerabilities and define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards
• Serve as department liaison and security/crisis management SME for site leadership
• Develop strategies for alarm reduction and conduct system diagnostics for problematic devices with internal/external partners
• Domestic regional travel up to 25% of the time when applicable
• Lift up to 49 pounds and work in variable environments; stand/walk up to 12 hours per shift; 24/7 operations including nights/weekends/holidays
