Job summary

Qualifications

• Meets local or national security staff certification requirements.
• Understanding of security processes, procedures and concepts within the role.
• Ability to clearly evaluate and communicate unusual or complex content.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic IT tasks.

Responsibilities

• Promote courteous service to tenants, visitors and guests on shift.
• Coordinate all security on shift and monitor access to the building.
• Log information for pass-ons to following shifts.
• Assist in emergency situations (fire evacuations, crises).
• Monitor life safety systems and report security issues to client representative.
• Maintain property post coverage and may operate surveillance equipment.
• Report atypical situations to management and enforce parking rules if needed.
• Communicate events or concerns to Security Manager and review shift reports.
• Gather data to analyze incidents and suggest process improvements.
