Job summary

Eagle Mountain Casino is seeking a Security Lieutenant to lead the Gaming Security team on assigned shifts, coordinating coverage and ensuring guest and employee safety. You will brief staff daily, enforce casino and law enforcement procedures, and ensure asset protection across tribal property.

The role requires strong management, supervisory, and communication skills, with a focus on policy adherence, incident reporting, and training participation.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Law enforcement training or security background required.
• PC 832 Security Officer Certification or prior security operations experience preferred.
• Must possess Security Guard Card and training certification.
• First Aid and CPR certification required or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Powers to Arrest Certification or to be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable by employer.
• Ability to read and write reports and communicate effectively with guests and staff.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

SUMMARYThe Gaming Security Lieutenant is responsible for the quality and outcome of security services on assigned shift, supervises Gaming Security activities and staff, and provides security services to ensure the safety of customers, employees, and Tribal property.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages the security activities on each shift.Oversees the scheduling of assigned personnel, monitors days off and area assignments to insure complete coverage of all assigned patrol areas.Briefs all Security Force personnel on a daily basis of all incidents and memos from each shift.Ensures the safety and wellbeing for team members and guests.Cooperates and enforces all policies & procedures of the Gaming Commission, Casino Operations and outside Law Enforcement Agencies, as requested and or approved.Enforces disciplinary action according to approved polices & procedure and handles personnel assignments according to approved polices & procedures or standard operating procedures and general orders.Ensures protection of all Tribal assets.Attends training to improve skills that are work related and beneficial to the Security Force.Assigns tasks as needed to subordinates and ensures proper supervision has been provided for the task.Responsible for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.Ensure compliance of all departmental policies and procedures.Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.All other departmental duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Minimum age requirement is 21.Must possess a High School diploma or G.E.D equivalent.Must have law enforcement training or Security Background.Possession of P.C. 832 Security officer Certificate or prior experience in Security Operations (Preferred)Must possess current Security Guard Card and certification of training.Must possess First Aid and CPR Certification or (Obtain one within 90 days of hire).Must possess Powers to Arrest Certification or (Obtain one within 180 days of hire).Must have strong management, supervisory, leadership and communication skills.Must have excellent guest service skills.Must maintain compliance with gaming, state, and federal regulations.Ability to read comprehend documents pertaining to security policies & procedures, rules & regulations and operating instructions.Ability to correspond and write reports.Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests, employees and officials of the organizationAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.Ability to solve problems and maintain control with a variety of incidents concerning the operation of the department.Ability to interpret a range of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Must possess a valid Driver License and be insurable through Casinos carrier.Able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL:While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, stand, sit.Repeatedly required to use hand to finger, reach with hands, arms and handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.Occasionally required to and to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Must be able to perform in outdoor environments with frequent exposure to unpredictable weather conditions including heat, rain, cold and wind.Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
