Job summary

Hedera Hashgraph, LLC is seeking a Head of Security to build and lead the security function for a digital asset trading platform. You will set governance, risk management, and policy for the business unit, aligning with regulators and auditors.

This role oversees custody, wallet infrastructure, smart contract security, incident response, and security operations, partnering with engineering, product, legal, and finance to embed security at scale.

Qualifications

10+ years in information security with senior leadership experience.
Direct security leadership at centralized or decentralized exchanges.
Designing governance programs covering policy, risk, audit, and reporting.
Strong understanding of crypto-native threats and key management models.
Solid grasp of blockchain protocol fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Set security strategy, governance, and risk management for the business unit.
Determine certifications and regulatory frameworks; coordinate with regulators.
Oversee custody, wallet infrastructure, and key management.
Govern smart contract security and secure SDLC practices.
Lead incident response, tabletop exercises, and disaster recovery.
Manage security budget and partner with engineering, legal, and finance to embed security at scale.
