Job summary

M0 is seeking a Head of Security & Risk to build and own the information security and risk function from the ground up. You will partner with engineering, legal, and product to ensure a proactive, documented security posture as the company scales across regulated institutions and on-chain liquidity solutions.

You will own enterprise risk management, compliance certification roadmaps, and security operations, while driving tabletop exercises and external security vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Proactively assess risk, quantify impact and mitigation across domains.
• Maintain rigorous documentation and audit-ready processes.
• Take ownership from concept through delivery on complex programs.
• Communicate clearly with engineering, legal, product and business partners.
• Show interest in crypto, blockchain tech, and DeFi innovations.

Responsibilities

• Build enterprise risk management from the ground up, covering security, operations, regulatory, and counterparty risk.
• Own the compliance certification program (SOC 2, ISO 27001, etc.) and coordinate audits.
• Design and maintain security operations framework, incident response, and DR/BCP planning.
• Lead partner security due diligence and coordinate with legal on representations in agreements.
• Develop security awareness programs and foster a proactive security culture across teams.
