Job summary

Insight Global seeks a Security Installation Specialist to join our team in the Greater Boston area. The role involves installing and commissioning CCTV cameras, IP video systems, alarm sensors, access control devices, and related software platforms, across hospitals, universities, data centers, and commercial facilities.

You will support the Solutions team on new construction and retrofit projects, ensuring timely, accurate installations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in installation, programming, and troubleshooting CCTV Cameras, IP Video Cameras, Alarm Sensors, Security Systems, Door Security Systems and Access Card Readers.

Responsibilities

A client of Insight Global is hiring for a Security Installation Specialist to join their team in Boston, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with experience installing and commissioning integrated security systems, including IP cameras, alarm sensors, access control devices, and related software platforms. This mid-level role supports the Solutions team on both new construction and retrofit projects across commercial environments such as hospitals, universities, data centers, commercial and industrial facilities in the Greater Boston area. The candidate should be detail-oriented and capable of ensuring timely, accurate installations that meet safety and quality standards.

In addition to technical responsibilities, the ideal candidate will participate in operational testing, system verification, and customer acceptance processes. They will assist with end-user training, generate routine reports, and identify code compliance or installation issues. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with customers and collaboration with trade contractors. Representing Siemens on-site, the candidate must demonstrate professionalism, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in installation, programming, and troubleshooting of CCTV Cameras, IP Video Cameras, Alarm Sensors, Security Systems, Door Security Systems and Access Card Readers,
• Must come from an electrical background working with low voltage, PLC's, electronics, electro-mechanical work and troubleshooting experience
• Must have working knowledge of basic electrical theory, vault meters, circuitry, and relay functions
• Experience with Software House and Genetec Software
• Must be mechanically inclined Massachusetts Class D Electrical License
• Experience with cutting in a strike from scratch
• Programming experience with hardware
