Pouring With Heart is seeking a Security Host to create a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff at our venue in Los Angeles. You will balance professionalism with hospitality, serving as the first and last impression of the bar while maintaining order.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in security, guest services or hospitality.
• Strong situational awareness and calm under pressure.
• 21+ with valid security guard certifications where required.
• Ability to de-escalate conflicts with patience and respect.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and set the tone for a safe, welcoming environment.
• Verify IDs accurately and manage guest entry per venue policies.
• Monitor the floor and bar areas for safety concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
• Support staff and guests through conflict resolution and clear communication.
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage situations calmly and respectfully.
• Assist with crowd flow, line management, and capacity control during peak hours.
• Report incidents, hazards, or policy violations to leadership promptly.
• Follow all health, safety, and compliance standards, including responsible alcohol service and emergency procedures.
