Job summary

Allied Risk Management in NYC is hiring for part-time and full-time security guards. Positions require NYS Security Guard License, S-60 Fire Guard License, OSHA 10 or 30, and a valid driver’s license or state ID. Duties include monitoring entrances, reporting incidents, patrolling, and responding to alarms.

Qualifications

• NYS Security Guard License is required.
• S-60 Fire Guard License is required.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification (for construction) is required.
• Driver's License or State ID is required.
• Security Guard License is required.
• 1 year security experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Call the police or fire department in case of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Deter/prevent theft.
• Secure designated areas.
• Patrol areas for suspicious activity.
• Report daily activities.
• Respond to alarms.
• Walking around and standing may be required during vertical and perimeter patrol.
• Good communication skills.
