Job summary

Houston Dose is seeking a Security Guard to maintain a safe environment for clients, personnel, visitors and property. The role includes frequent foot patrols, monitoring, incident response, and professional customer service.

We offer part-time and full-time positions with day and night shifts, including weekends. Starting pay is $14.00 per hour, with opportunities for dependable team members to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• Some security experience preferred.
• Valid security license required.
• Able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation.
• Professional appearance and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and secure assigned properties, buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds.
• Conduct frequent foot patrols to identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, property damage, or security concerns.
• Control access to designated areas and verify individuals when required.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and disturbances.
• Complete accurate security reports, incident reports, and daily activity logs.
• Maintain a visible security presence while providing professional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, law enforcement, emergency personnel, and members of the public when necessary.
• Follow all company policies, post orders, and applicable security procedures.
• Be prepared to spend a significant portion of each shift walking and patrolling on foot.

Requirements

• Must be physically capable of extended periods of walking and standing while conducting foot patrols.
• Professional appearance, dependable attendance, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm, alert, and professional when handling incidents or difficult situations.
• Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred.
• Must be dependable, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
