Overview

Security officer/guard positions are available on full and part‑time schedules. The role requires standing, walking and patrolling large areas for long periods, including indoor and outdoor foot patrols. No cell phone use is permitted while on duty.

Responsibilities

• Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 4 miles per shift).
• Perform interior and exterior foot patrols.
• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Assist customers and provide information to employees and visitors.
• Follow all state, county and municipal licensing requirements for security officers.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must meet all applicable licensing requirements for security officers.
• Physical ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally 25 pounds.
• Prior retail, food service or hospitality experience is a plus, but no experience is required.
