Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Guard for Terre Haute, IN. This part-time role involves patrolling facilities, controlling access, and providing customer service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, monitoring access points, and documenting activities. Candidates should meet minimum requirements and be ready to work Sat and Sun shifts in the afternoon/evening.

Qualifications

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation may be required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology/media location by following security procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally; document observations and actions.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production or distribution areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, report unusual conditions.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications with leadership and site contacts.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.42 / Hour Job Schedule:

• Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a technology/media production and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production or distribution areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while working collaboratively with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
