Job summary

Allied Universal, Franklin, KY-based security provider, is seeking a part-time Security Guard Visitor Access to protect clients and assets at a distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and deliver courteous customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors.

This role offers flexible scheduling with day and night shifts, a pay rate of $18.54 per hour, and opportunities to grow through training and additional shifts via our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor and control access by verifying credentials and directing authorized personnel.
• Observe traffic at entry/exit points and report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and escalate to leadership or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, processing visitors and vendors, maintaining entry records, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Observe vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at entry and exit points; communicate access requirements and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
