Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Access Control in Franklin, KY to protect clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and deliver courteous service to employees, visitors, and drivers while upholding Allied Universal’s culture of integrity and teamwork.

As a Full Time Access Control Officer, you’ll monitor doors, issue passes, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain entry/exit records.
• Screen and direct delivery drivers, vendors, and visitors to appropriate areas per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular/patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Control in Franklin, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes as directed, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Screen and direct delivery drivers, vendors, and visitors to appropriate loading, receiving, or administrative areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
