Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Observer in East Alton, IL. You will perform routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service to employees and visitors at a manufacturing and industrial location.

The role includes shift flexibility with daytime and weekend hours. Minimum requirements include being 18+ (21+ for armed roles), a high school diploma or equivalent, and passing a background check and drug screen as

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points and perimeter.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor/contractor credentials, and document visits and incidents.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and emergencies and report observations to site contacts and responders as needed.
• Deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations through visible presence and timely reporting.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary throughout the location.
• Monitor access control points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and policy violations through visible presence, observation, and timely reporting of unusual conditions or suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
