Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Guard Unarmed Patrol Alarm Response in Penns Grove, NJ to serve and safeguard clients across utilities and other sectors.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, respond to alarms, and provide outstanding customer service while upholding our standards of integrity and teamwork.

This role offers flexible daytime/evening shifts and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations; report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required by established procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site personnel.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
