• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery drivers at a utilities location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor/vehicle/incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Assist with maintaining a professional presence and communicate shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
