Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol Alarm Operator) in Penns Grove, NJ. You will provide customer service, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents at a utility location.

The role offers flexible scheduling with Fri/Sat night shifts and a pay rate of $18.00 per hour. Candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and be comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following escalation/reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and document observations and patrols.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and response activities and communicate information to site personnel and first responders.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and document security-related observations, incidents, and patrol activities.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and response activities, including communicating relevant information to site personnel and first responders as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
