Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard Unarmed Alarm Response Patrol in Florence, NJ to safeguard clients in tech/media/telecom environments and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns in a calm, professional manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor entrances/exits and verify credentials, directing authorized visitors and vendors accordingly.
• Prepare clear incident and patrol reports and communicate findings to leadership.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 01:15 PM - 09:15 PM
• Tue: 01:15 PM - 09:15 PM
• Sun: 01:15 PM - 09:15 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and designated access points; verify credentials and direct authorized visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to incidents, patrol observations, visitor activity, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
