Job summary

Allied Universal in Greenville, SC seeks an unarmed Security Guard to protect facilities and staff, monitor access points, verify credentials, and respond to incidents with calm professionalism.

You will work Thursday through Sunday with afternoon and overnight shifts, carry out site policies, log activities, and provide courteous service to employees, visitors, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Job Description

As a Security Guard Unarmed - Full Time in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, responding to security-related concerns, and providing outstanding customer service. You will use technology to support site operations, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and contribute to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and grounded in integrity.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 11:00 PM - 03:00 AM
• Fri: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sat: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Sun: 05:00 PM - 05:00 AM

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
