Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer - Plant Access in Greenville, SC. You will monitor access points, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible security presence at an industrial site while delivering excellent customer service.

This role offers a Mon/Tue/Fri 3:00 PM–11:00 PM schedule with a $17.00/hour pay rate. Candidates with access control, badge systems, and computer familiarity are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required entry documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Document patrol findings, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
