• Minimum of 6 months security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter boundaries to identify hazards or unauthorized access.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following post orders, notifying site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrol observations, access-control events, incidents, and property concerns.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security‑related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
