Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Unarmed Patrol, Computer Reporting in Aurora, IL. You will patrol, monitor access, document observations, and provide courteous service.

Flexible shifts are offered via our Claim a Shift platform, with a competitive hourly rate. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, ability to pass background checks and drug screening, and a valid driver’s license where required.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, document observations, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, visitor and contractor entry, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies and food production facility requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
