Allied Universal in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard - Terminal Protection to monitor government facilities, deter incidents, and deliver excellent customer service.

As a flexible, part-time officer, you will patrol assigned areas, verify entry, respond to incidents, and maintain logs while upholding safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location, following site policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly and according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of government facilities, access points, and perimeters.
• Monitor entry points and verify authorized entry while maintaining logs and incident records.
• Report hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to site representatives.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government facilities, public access areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by reporting hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
