Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part‑Time Security Officer for a television station in New York, NY. You will provide customer service, monitor access points, and respond calmly to incidents within a media/telecom environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, production personnel, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a media and broadcasting location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and maintain visitor and contractor logs in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site contacts and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, studio areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols accurately, following Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
