Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard for a parking lot patrol in Elmont, NY. You will provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and staff while conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, and responding to incidents in a calm, professional manner.

The role offers flexible scheduling with shifts from Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM and Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM. Minimum age 18, high school diploma, background screening, and a valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required per federal, state, and local laws; Allied Universal considers qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• A drug screen is required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner following established protocols.
• Conduct regular patrols of the retail property, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior or damage to appropriate personnel.
• Document daily activities and observations and communicate information during shift transitions.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Document daily activities, patrols, incidents, and observations accurately and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
